Passages, Revisits and Updates

Some sad news from NomadMolly:

“Hi everyone,
Many of you know that my mother has been suffering from terminal cancer and that I have been caring for her in hospice for the last month. She died peacefully this morning with her four children at her side.

She lived to be 92 and had an amazingly life full of all kinds of wonderful adventures.

The family is fine. I am fine. I am happy her suffering is over and she is finally at peace. Today we are not morning, we are celebrating a life well lived.”

Death is nothing at all
I have only slipped away into the next room
I am I, and you are you.
Whatever we were to each other
That we still are.

Call me by my old familiar name
Speak to me in the easy way which you always used
Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow.
Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes
We enjoyed together.

Play, smile, think of me, pray for me,
Let my name be ever the household word that
It always was.
Let it be spoken without effort,
Without the trace of a shadow on it.
Life means all that it ever meant
It is the same as it ever was
There is absolutely unbroken continuity.
Why should I be out of mind because I am
Out of sight? I am but waiting for you
For an interval
Somewhere very near
Just around the corner .

All is well.

Update on Sil-Oh-Wet

Sil-Oh-Wet/Lisa’s dad posted an update for her. He says she had an internal shunt installed and it ended up not draining enough fluid so the doctors had to open an incision in her clavical and retrieved the drain tube so they could connect an external drain again. She was a lot better after that and Monte actually got her up and sitting for a few hours. The doctors have continued to do tests because of her oxygen saturation level being low and they were concerned about blood clots in the lungs. Thankfully there was no evidence of clots though she does have fluid accumulating around her lungs. She is now on medication to dry up the fluid and they are hoping she will be feeling much better soon. Her dad thanks everyone for posting support.

Please keep posting and letting her know we are thinking about her. You can post at CarePages.
